Half of my Kotopoulo Me Spanikh
Last night, Carter and I ate at a Greek/Italian restaurant called Yanni's. The food was fantastic! For an appetizer we ordered Spanakopita, a traditional Greek dish. It is layers of Spinach, Feta Cheese and Phyllo dough, all baked together to make a harmony of yummy-ness. It was fantastic, and was definitely homemade. For the entree I ordered Kotopoulo Me Spanikh (pictured above). It's chicken breast rolled in spinach and feta cheese and covered in a lemon butter sauce, served with fresh, steamed vegetables. It was FANTASTIC and definitely homemade. It was definitely a fantastic culinary experience and I definitely want to repeat it soon.

First week of classes....

I got through the first week of classes as of today. I swear, I've had so much information thrown at me this past week, my brain could explode. However, so far, so good. I actually enjoy my classes, which is a first. I have a feeling I'm going to have a busy and stress-filled semester.

I'm taking 12 credits this semester. My classes are as followed: Food Prep Lecture, Food Prep Lab, Sanitation and Safety Lab, Sanitation and Safety Lecture, and Human Relations in Business.

So far classes are fun but also keeping me busy. There is plenty of reading and online homework to be done daily. Next week we have to start wearing our Chef Whites (black and white checkered pants, chef coat, apron, and hat) to all our classes, which will be exciting. Perhaps pictures next week??

The beginning of a lifetime...Culinary School...

This fall, I've embarked on a journey...the journey of Culinary School....

Maybe it's time to start blogging about things I love...food...cupcakes...and the adventures of new experiences.

So... here goes nothing.
